1845 to 1850
In 1846 the first meeting was held to establish the Episcopal Church in St. Clair.Original church, known as Trinity Church, was built
1873
A fire destroyed the church. Mr. and Mrs. John Kitton gave the property and a sum of $1578.84 in return for a family pew. The Hopkins, Moore, Whiting and Smith families gave funds for the erection of the Gothic style church. The cost of the building was less than $3000, seating 200.
1885
The present church, now known as St. Paul’s, was rebuilt
1909
The Guild Hall was added
1936
A second hall was built
1958
The Sacristy was added and the parish hall was enlarged
1969
A second floor was added for Christian Education
1987
Columbarium added in garden, east of the parish hall |
